SALTWATER SAILOR
The life of a sailor is not a long, quiet riverand mine began at 18 in the French Navy on the aircraft carrier Clemenceau.
After the French Navy, in 1981 i chose the profession of fisherman in Brittany and the Indian Ocean.
In 1995 i moved to Guadeloupe and St-Martin (FWI) to practice lobster fishing, passenger transport, charter and sport fishing.
On the charter i had the pleasur of rubbing shoulders discreetly with show-biz stars such as singers and artists; Antoine,Frank Alamo,Chantal Goya, Stephane Collaro, Bernard Tapie or Guy Ligier from F1 ( photo gallery).
In 2012, as life allowed us to join our son Laurent in Canada ,my wife Ghislaine and i settled in Sorel-Tracy, 1 hour from Montreal, where i finished my career on the Quebec ferries

Arts and crafts in Montreal
Gallery-luc is located in Montreal where i currently live since 2012 where i continue my paintings since my retirement from fishing.
This professional career as a sailor allowed me to discover several countries which inspired me in my passion for painting which i have practiced since my youth.
My approximately 250 canvases are mostly small formats in a context of regular travel from one country to another.
Enjoy your visit.
You can consult a site created in 2001 where you will find some paintings of saint-martin FWI.

SAINT-MARTIN FWI
the french indies remains a unique destination by its particularity.
An island of St-Martin , shared betwen two nations " holland and France", not to mention the influence of the United State and Afrique.
An island that i knew at the end of an era when people drove their cars without insurance or didn` t lock their doors, or in the evenings at Oyster-Pond we chatted endlessy with Capitain Oliver, the boss of the marina, about the life of our community.
We regulary had visits from singers; Frank Alamo, Antoine, film actors and political figures. ( photo gallery).
